Nature Prayer Trail

Through the years we've talked about ways of inviting persons who come to Marywood to become more familiar with all the various aspects of nature present on our two-acre spot! This past spring, Sr. Lucy Slinger, FSPA created a nature prayer trail with 14 sites to observe and reflect on. The unique aspect of this self-guided tour is the personal reflection which relates the earth and nature to one¼s own life experience.

For example, one of the sites speaks of reverence, respect and responsibility as being the Eco-Spirituality behind the popular Recycle, Reduce and Reuse earth friendly ways. The Prayer Trail pamphlet shares with the person traveling the trail to notice how the woods recycle themselves. It points out things to look at and ponder on at the site. It then goes on to ask us to reflect on things we see in nature and to ask our selves questions, applying it to ourselves.

The Nature Prayer trail has 14 different sites. The pamphlet is easy to follow and shows where each site is located.
